The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) is in talks to develop a digital asset trading platform, following the direction of a few major European stock exchanges.
With the new transformation outlined strategically over a period of three years, SET will collaborate with all stakeholders to digitize the capital market infrastructure to transform customer experiences.
The development into a digital asset trading platform will allow it to compete in a remodeled investment landscape in the future.
SET president Pakorn Peetathawatchai, says: “SET strongly believes that the collaboration with all stakeholders in enhancing the existing infrastructures that are a backbone of the current ecosystem and in building the new digital asset ecosystem will be a turning point that will take the Thai capital market to the next level.”
