Samsung Australia-Cuscal tie-up prods 1.7 million cardholders into action!

Cuscal, Australia’s leading independent provider of payment solutions and Samsung Electronics Australia have signed a collaboration to launch an upgraded mobile phone enabled payment gateway through Samsung Pay, benefitting 38 leading financial institutions and millions of card holders across the country.

Samsung Pay allows customers to make safe, secure and fast funds transfer activities over the Samsung mobile devices including the Gear S3 smart watch and the Galaxy S8 and S8+ smart phones.

Over 1.7 million card holders across Australia will be able to access and use the facility, it is estimated. Already leading institutions that have entered the muster roll with Samsung Pay are People’s Choice Credit Union, Credit Union Australia (CUA), and Teachers Mutual Bank, which are amongst Cusal’s clientele.

The initiative brings Cusal as a member of the partnership network that Samsung enjoys with Westpac, Citibank and American Express.

Every partner we bring onboard, whether it be a financial institution or retail brand through our Samsung Pay loyalty functionality, brings us a step closer to helping customers replace their wallets with their Samsung smart phone or smart watch.”

The collaboration is hailed as a first anniversary gift to Australia by Samsung Pay, which has garnered operational agreements with more than 40 payment card brands and 100 loyalty cards which are now running successfully through Samsung Pay and making every day payments easy and fast for the Australian population..

Samsung Pay has more than 870 bank partnerships worldwide and there has been more than 240 million transactions processed over the past year and a half.
